Here is a nice Mars 3.0 taillight in LED. The light is designed to mount on your seat post using the attaching mounting system but it can also be clipped on the back of your riding gear, jersey, rack, or bag. This light is adjustable for up and down position while mounted with the use of the screw that is built into the mount. This light can easily be removed from your bike to avoid theft. The mount will fit virtually all seat posts as it is has an included spacer and is adjustable by using a hose-clamp type of adjustment system. Very Nice!
There are three modes: steady, flashing, and motion (using the LED flashing pattern). There are yellow amber side marker lights that are visible to cross-traffic. The light is plenty bright and uses the commonly found AAA batteries. It takes two batteries and tends to run for an exceptionally long time. We have always been impressed with the battery life in this light.
This is one of my all-time favorite taillights! It is a pleasure to use, very easy to operate, easy to remove, and highly recommended for commuting because of the brightness. It’s strikes the right balance in brightness and creates an eye catching illusion of motion using the LED flashing pattern. The batteries are included and are certainly bright but we would recommend changing them if you are going on a long ride because we don’t know how long they have been in the light or how much they have been used. The batteries are accessed by removing small screws on the back of the light.
